The 2nd Annual International Booklover's Burlesque Festival second night launches Friday, April 12 at The Alberta Rose in Portland, Oregon as we celebrate all types of literature! Just as a library is an eclectic mix of books, this Friday show shall also celebrate an eclectic mix of all types of writing matched with all types of performers.
Friday Grand Showcase will feature Friday evening's Guests of Honor and Featured Performers. In addition, specially-curated burlesque, boylesque, and draglesque acts chosen for our festival from around the globe will be intertwined with readings from performing artists, writers, professional actors/readers. Friday's Grand Showcase will be hosted by Bevin Victoria.

Our Friday Night Grand Showcase- Guests of Honor
Zyra Lee Vanity
(Toronto, CANADA)- GUEST OF HONOR
Zyra Lee Vanity, also known as the Urban Desire, is a multi award winning international burlesque entertainer. She’s been invited to headline & feature at several shows, festivals and cons throughout Canada, The United States, Central America and Europe.
Some of her festival highlights include performing at The New York Burlesque (2016, 2017, 2018, 2023), competing at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender (2022, 2023), headlining the Winnipeg Burlesque Festival (2019), headlining the Richmond Virginia Burlesque Festival (2022) and headlining the Vancouver Burlesque Festival (2023).
In 2018 she won “Best Burlesque” at the Arizona Burlesque Festival and in 2019 she was crowned Panama Queen of Burlesque at the Panama Burlesque Festival. She’s also been a featured performer onboard the Desire Greek Islands Cruise (2022,2023).
Zyra Lee Vanity was also voted “Burlesque Top 50” world wide in 2020, 2022 and 2023 via 21st Century Magazine. She’s been featured in 21st Century Burlesque Magazine, on Playboy Radio, Sex City Radio and was a keynote speaker at Catalyst Con West.
