This is a poem written by me, Christopher Hall aka Prince Peanut Butter. Written in 2014, inspired by my aunt and I’s shared love for the TV series, “The Waltons,” and my crush on Richard Thomas. I’m proud of this poem and the work I put into in placing the reader inside that television landscape/house, and the word choice. I also was inspired to write this piece at the time as more than just erotic fan fiction, after reading Dennis Cooper’s poem about David Cassidy which changed my opinion on poems of this nature. I chose to read this piece now because intimacy and companionship have been on my mind a lot during isolation, and it kind of feels like we’ve gone back in time, to harder but yet simpler times.

His burlesque is most known for featuring a variety of cosplay and celebrity impersonations. The book I’ve chosen for this reading is, “Running with Scissors.” It’s one of my favorite books that features a lot of fascinating experiences with adolescent homosexuality that had a profound affect on me growing up as a gay teenager. Sex is a big thing on my mind right now during the quarantine, and also the story speaks on multiple levels of isolation in that much of it takes place inside the confines of a psychologist’s house. In choosing the excerpt I have read for this video, I discovered that it ends on a highly positive note that the viewers should be able to appreciate.
