BOOKLOVER'S BURLESQUE: BANNED BOOKS EDITION
Jo Weldon is the author of The Burlesque Handbook and Headmistress of The New York School of Burlesque. Since getting her start in strip joints in the 1980s, he has been touring to perform striptease and burlesque for decades, taking off her clothes for money in dive bars, dinner clubs, theaters, museums, libraries, and other public places. She is a passionate advocate for striptease as an art form and a legitimate form of employment. She is a resident research scholar at the New York Public Library, where she is exploring the historic intersections of sex work and fashion. She lives deliciously in New York City and the Hudson Valley.
Luna DeLyte is a genre-bending performer and a feast for all the senses. A charismatic creatrix of tease, they are a Queer Queen Moon Goddexx, a purely divine nonbinary synergy of love, light, desire, and intuition. They are a co-producer of Free Range Drag, where All Drag is Valid, and as a performer, writer, and painter, believe all art is harnessed through a bit of personal magic. Performing drag and burlesque throughout the PNW, Luna wants you to wish upon the nearest star while showing you why you love the shine of the moon.
