I chose Neil Gaiman's American Gods because I have always been a bit of a nerd. Whether it was getting into comics and graphic novels, or being fascinated by archetypes, I have always loved the magical and fantastical. A incredibly important person enlightened me to the worlds of Neil Gaiman. This book was the first novel of Neil Gaiman's that I read that wasn't graphic. This part of that story really pulled me in. The writing created such a vivid imagery. It was so explicit and so raw. The magic in the moment described in the passage just felt so powerful. This book is a must read if you are into a bit of the magic, and the history of our archetypes.

Violet is the 90s goth girl of your fantasies. She loves the old and the new, dreaming of vampy and living the witchy. Always conjuring new ways to bring her magic to the world. She has been bringing her neo-burlesque bewitchments to enchant audiences, since graduating from Rose City School of Burlesque in November 2018. She's a little bit witchy and a little bit switchy.
